There is a problem that causes SHA384 or SHA512 hashes to fail. They are 48 or 64 bytes long, but Firefox 2.0.0.7 truncates them to 32 bytes. As result, the downloaded file can not be verified (error 261).

In the meantime, use MD5, SHA256 or SHA1 for your hashes.

This addresses especially developers of extensions, which extensions are currently working with both, Firefox 2.0 and Minefield.

Vote for bug 383390 - nsICrypto Hash truncates to 32 byte; renders sha384 and sha512 corrupt to get this fixed in branch.
