:furious: Thanks IT department. Whoever did the maintenance on the server for this forum sure screwed it up. It's kinda hard to follow a thread when quite a few of the posts are missing. You might as well go ahead and delete the entire thread as it gets very confusing trying to follow it when a big chunk of it is missing in cyberspace.

Just my 2 cents!

The database for the forums crashed. A lot was recovered, but not everything. Considering the extent of the devastation, we're lucky to have back all that we do, and so quickly at that.

Moving to Mozillazine Site Discussion where discussions of this site belong.

Looks like my missing posts are still gone, but since I have no clue which ones they were, I'm not worried about it. ;-)

This is great. Lost User 3431 had 9052 posts, and they're all there, not that I want to read them all, but its nice to know I could if I wanted.

Don't worry about it. As I said, I have no idea which ones they were, so I'm really not missing them. Just dropped my post count. ;-)

strange usernames sometimes here  but I find that the very first user on this list has a critical name for sort in databases

(if link doesn't work, sort memberlist by username ascending)

No I haven't just joined, that data crash must have removed my login details and wouldn't let me in.
So I had to re-register using exactly the same details which it accepted, so they must have gone for good. :(
