Latest Tested Builds

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007101703 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007101703]

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8pre) Gecko/20071009 Thunderbird/2.0.0.7pre ID:2007100904]

Current "Gotchas" for Trunk Testers

Since 2007-08-09 Switching views with View | Layout will immediately crash TB This is a known Core problem.
Workaround: Don't switch views

Since 2007-08-13 You will need to "select" an app to call a link.
This is stored in mimeTypes.rdf but is not editable in the TB UI

Workaround: Don't save the selection, or backup your mimetypes.rdf.

Thanks for the update Amsterdammer.
Of course we have no announcement, except for yours, of course.
And the branch nightly still says 2.0.0.7pre
I guess we have to resort to Seamonkey dev for info.
Their next candidate includes the following bug fixes:
SeaMonkey Changes

Whatever applies to MailNews there, I guess will apply to TB

I hope, Scott will come back to his Thunderbird- and MozillaZine-community,
he is silent since Daily Build Thread 2007-08-22 Through 2007-08-28. :(

Since today's build (version 3.0a1pre (2007110202)) Thunderbird always downloads RSS messages even though they are already downloaded (makes a lots of duplicates).

Filled Bug 402253

Just updated to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007110202 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007110202

I tested my current feeds with no problem. I have about a dozen or so.
Some folks have reported problems right along with feeds, I personally haven't had a problem.
You might try deleting the .msf files, or unsubscibe and re-subscribe.

Perhaps you could supply the perticular feed URL for testing.

Exporting feed list, re-making News&Blogs account and then importing feeds list fixed problem...

And I have 11 RSS feeds and they all had same problem so I think it's not any particular URL problem...

Thanks Kole89,
Good info for when this happens to others, as it probably will.

Looks like at least someone is anticipating a TB3
[2007-11-02 16:22 -trunk ]# 397498 [Core] - Create a shutdown task manager for core mailnews. [All]

Maybe not the Lightning team though, since their current leading edge build is 0.8pre, seems to be for branch only. (but maybe that's just a lack of manpower.)

I am trying to use the new Gmail IMAP interface that Google has opened recently and I don't seem to be able to set my trash folder to: "[Gmail]/Trash"

Does this work for anybody ?

Using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007110503 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007110503

After today's trunk update, the build seemed to run OK
But after several restarts I get XULRunner error: App: name not specified in application.ini

I did have a few rather strange errors tonight on various apps.

EDIT Must have been a local problem here, d/l the latest hourly and seems to work OK

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a9pre) Gecko/2007110620 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2007110620

EDIT 1 Looks like I'm having some hardware problems here.
