Latest Tested Builds

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008012003 Thunderbird/3.0a1pre ID:2008012003]
Usability="Sending mail does not terminate properly"

[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/20080119 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre ID:2008011903]

Current "Gotchas" for Trunk Testers

Since 2007-08-13 You will need to "select" an app to call a link.
This is stored in mimeTypes.rdf but is not editable in the TB UI
Workaround: Don't save the selection, or backup your mimetypes.rdf.

Current Branch Status

Since the Branch build on 2008-01-15 Crashes on sending mail, and or VC runtime error on program termination.

Appears to be fixed with today's nightly.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/20080119 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre ID:2008011903

In regard to the "Runtime error", the situation is really strange.

Sometimes I get that one (Runtime), at other times I get the "Thunderbird has experienced a problem and needs to close. Sorry ...". It seems to be random as to which one actually appears.

On my wife's machine, though (running the exact same build but with far fewer add-ons) a "real" error message appears that asks whether the user wants to submit a report to Microsoft. I've never had that on my machine. She's running XP Home and I have XP Professional.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/20080116 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre ID:2008011604
WinXP Pro-SP3 (English) \ IBM M50, Pentium 4@3gh, 4gb RAM; IBM ZPro, Xeon@3.6gh, 4gb RAM; ThinkPad X41, Pentium M@1.5gh 2gb RAM; ThinkPad X60, CoreDuo@1.83gh, 2gb RAM. Thank God the cats are still on my desk.

I know another thread was started for this ( http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=621131 ) but I'm going to go ahead and say that the above experience is the same for me...........XP Home gives the error with the submit to MS option..........on my XP Pro machine, I get the Runtime Error.

Still an issue with: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/20080117 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre ID:2008011703

It appears today's build is working properly again. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12pre) Gecko/20080119 Thunderbird/2.0.0.12pre ID:2008011903

Marking the Trunk orange, since mail will actually send, but the process does not terminate properly.

Why do you not post links for the other language versions of Tbird, in addition to the en-US ones? The other language folders in the FTP sites end with "n".

That is much better. I prefer the British English versions.
