What am I meant to be seeing? The website and the testcase both render pretty much the same between Firefox trunk and Opera 9.26 from what I can see.

Screenshots of testcase:

build from January: <a href="http://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=jan08ao7.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9428/jan08ao7.th.png" border="0" alt=""></a>

yesterdays nightly: <a href="http://img220.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mar08nx6.png" target="_blank"><img src="http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/4906/mar08nx6.th.png" border="0" alt=""></a>

While I was reducing, I tried changing the doctype to strict and all the result was a blank page, which I thought was odd. Just checked and transitional is the same as above screenshots. From your comment I guess this is due to a bug fix. Will investigate more later.

Thanks for looking at it :)

Pal-moz, I can't reproduce your crash, but I'm having a hard time understanding your steps to reproduce:

"1) middle click on link"... what link?
"2) middle click on bookmark".. what bookmark? do I have to make a new bookmark with a specific site or can I use any of my bookmarks?
"3) middle/left click on tab to switch".. if I make a new profile and middle click on a link, it opens a new tab and gives it focus. so what tab am I left-clicking on? also, for me, middle clicking a tab closes it.

Please could you clarify your steps to reproduce, preferably starting with a new profile? If we can get more accurate steps to reproduce then there's going to be a higher probability of getting this crash regression bug to block the beta 5 release :)

It may require that you use or have installed the same fonts that pal-moz is using. That is my guess.

Sorry, I didn't read through the threads of the week, but this week's WeeklyMeeting says:

Does this mean there'll be a Beta 6?

ATM I think those bugs will be fixed in time for Beta 5. Those bugs will get approval1.9b5+ to land during the current freeze.

I've been out of the loop for a couple of days.

Is there a bug or reason for the many random crashes in the recent build? Most from xul.dll.

also crashes: http://www.eastgate.com/Tinderbox/
Crash Report: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/i ... 1a4bd43e5c

Does this deal with #382542? [Core:GFX: Thebes]-Font entries need to depend on the style (Arabic characters not displayed in italic) [Win] I pulled this from the 20th nightly thread and was wondering if it is the same crash.

Also my crash reporter never ends (went on for ever and is like thousands of pixels wide):

At some point this week, one of the nightly builds changed the places.sqlite schema. I'm not sure if the change was intended, a reversion, or possibly a corrupted database on my end.

Here's what I see: the moz_annos table has two indexes, place_id and anno_attribute_id. What's different between the recent nightlies and earlier ones (and Beta 4, for that matter) is that the latest builds no longer have a constraint preventing duplicates where the earlier ones did.

In other words, a place can have multiple annotations of the same type. Bookmarks still handle annotations as expected, e.g. a bookmark can only have one description, a live bookmark can only have one feed URL, etc. But there's no longer the same restriction for items, say, in history.

Can anyone else confirm this?
