Note To Testers
Even though we are in code freeze for tbird code, Core changes are still being applied.
So nightly testing is still needed.

To try to get a wider base of testers, Mozilla-Messaging decided to do an actual release of the
existing trunk code.
See: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/Thunderbird_3.0a1
Notice that the code has not been "tagged" yet, therefore any core changes will get into the release.

I just updated to 2.0.0.14 of T-bird and was a bit disappointed to see that the "button shift in the update dialog box" bug was still present despite the fact that the same bug has already been fixed in Firefox 2. Is this an oversight with regard to not having fixed it yet in T-bird?

How long does Thunderbird remain in this code freeze?

From mozilla.dev.apps.thunderbird newsgroup: On 22-Apr-08, at 1:33 PM, Dan Mosedale wrote: The intent is that at that point, we'll put verbiage on the Tinderboxen forbidding checkins to mail/ and mailnews/ of non-3.0a1-blocking bugs without explicit approvals. Those directories will remain closed until we've cleared the blocker list (either by fixing or cutting remaining bugs), spun builds, and tagged the release. Since there are a lot of new folks involved in this release, we're not expecting things to be 100% smooth, but my hope is that the tree won't stay closed all that long either.

Software updates broken since 2008-05-02
This is a general "builds" problem which has an existing bug.
# 432014 [mozilla.org] - 2008050209 trunk nightlies build not getting updates [All]
EDIT:
Problem has been fixed.
You will be updated to the 20080504 build.

As a follow up to my message move problem. I have discovered that it has to do with the recent folder. When I try to move to a recent local folder it will not work, but if I choose the local folder directly it works fine?
