I am currently using Thunderbird v4.0.0.14 with Windows XP SP2.

By using the search box on the upper right corner, I am able to search email messages by sender, subject, content, date...etc
But there is no option for searching keywords such as IP address in mail header.
How do I search IP address in header? Thanks for your help!

Right-click on the folder and select "Search Messages" from the context menu. There, look at the "Subject" menu on the left and select "Customize". Enter Received as the new header to search for, this will parse the routing information contained in every e-mail message.

You can now search for something like "Received" "contains" "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" to get a list of all messages matching that IP address (which can be either the originating IP address or any mail relay inbetween).
