Another very good build for my PII. Speed seems to be the same as the "MozillaFirefox-20040327-O2-GAL6-crc32" build that I have been using, but I`m going to do more testing with this one. I would never know the Inspector is there if I didnt already know it. Thanks for the build JTw.

On my PII the "MozillaFirefox-20040404-O2-GAL6-crc32-Inspector-Calendar.exe" build is slower than the "MozillaFirefox-20040327-O2-GAL6-crc32.exe" build that I have been using, which is the #1 fastest build that I use, and the new one is also slower than the Lohvarn, and Djeter that I use. Sure would like to see an update of the older Firefox-20040327-O2-GAL6-crc32.

hmmm i compared my .mozconfigs from 3/27 with the one from 4/4 ...... no big changes only that this one has this option
- Code: Select all
ac_add_options --enable-default-toolkit=windows
I'll remove that and try building
the other reason's probably that yesterday when i was building i accidentlally opened a probram which used up 75% of my CPU....and i didn't realize it till the build was nearly finished @@ dunno if that effects anything
Calendar shouldn't be causing a slowdown of the speed, i dunno i'll try after i finish building today's build even though there's really no point to build today (lol lack of "green lines")
too bad VC++ can't do -O3 optimizations

Was or wasn't Calendar in the 3/27 one?
I'd do the EXACT SAME thing and try it just to eliminate the doubt.
No harm, since there are no other changes out there to build for.

calendar wasn't in my 3/27 build
i'll remove it from my build today just to test the performance
ooo just read mmoy's new build thread .... interesting new optimization

Just updated my user.js, got some really impressive results (5.6~5.8), if you are interested you can try this one
i dunno ... for some reason about:config doesn't read some of my user.js settings (example: pipelining), if you have the same thing happen, just manually change them

JTw:
Firefox is rendering your page in "quirks mode". not good.
Validate it. (validator.w3.org)

..about your site's with new look..imo not bad but need some touch-up. I have suggestion to propose :-
1). Try change the white color background...change it to light blue and for background use dark blue or any ?
2). Normally you will write like this `Firefox-20040403-O2-GAL7-SSE2-crc32-(with Inspector and Firefox Help Ver 1.1 ) to point to your build.Imo..its took alot of space.Try make shorter like this: your build spec (DOMi and Help Ver 1.1)
Just my $0.2 cts....
