The Official Win32 2004-04-25 build is out.

Post by Peter(6) »

minutes of the meeting 2004-04-05 wrote:*Mozilla 1.7 final*
- This will be the new stable branch
- Still talking 6/7 weeks and a couple of release candidates
- People are upset that the announcement wasn't made earlier
- That is, we didn't make official-sounding announcements in all the right places
- We are apologising, and committing to doing better in the future
- Need to split the roadmap into two parts - soon and future - and get the "soon" part out there
- We need to find a good balance between doing the basic research and thinking, and communicating those things that have enough cohesion to be beyond the squishy stage.

*Firefox 0.9*
- Extension Manager UI is now working
- For the server side, Ben is writing a Java web service based on Tomcat, with MySQL back end
- DNS name will be update.mozilla.org
- Software update - notifications only - is on the plan for 1.0
- blake is working on an ActiveX control which runs in IE, to download and install Firefox more smoothly

The Official Win32 2004-04-25 build is out.
The previous Official Win32 build was 2004-04-24

If you find problems/bugs:
  1. Post them in this thread
  2. Properly describe the problem
  3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
  4. Include the "about mozilla firefox" information (under the help button)
  5. Installer build or .zip version?
  6. Did you completely erase the Firefox directory first?
  7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
  8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

Fixes: target = in ()
  1. #135082[FIXr]{ib}rel pos inlines not leading to right containing block for abs pos kids.(Moz1.8a)
  2. #141090New profiles do not display current theme w/ check flag.(Moz1.7final)

Do NOT vote for bugs you don't see on your system.

Additional workaround information for Bug #241068 (Crash when trying to enter text in input field).

If you really have to have Saved Form Information enabled, then use the extension AutoForm. Saved form info appears to work normally. Otherwise, text entry still causes a crash.

(You don't have to actually use AutoForm, just have it enabled)

Noticed This Post made by Verdant about the scroll wheel having backwards behavior. Using shift + wheel to go Fwd & Back pages.

I'm noticing this too with the an installer and a clean prof.

wow... someone really cleaned up the nominations... seems that the vast majority has been declined :(
well... seen how many bugs are already (and still) targetted for .9 i hope they will all be fixed before .9 comes out ... (in may i hope - but i have my doubts)

Help text isn't displayed in W2k

Post by david5717 »

When I select Help | Help Contents the help window pops up normally but selecting a topic in the left pane does not result in text in the right pane, it just remains blank. The topics in the left pane can be expanded and collapsed and otherwise appear to be working normally.

I've had this problem in the last few builds, I don't know when it started.

The problem occurs in Windows 2000. I've used the zip builds extracted into a new directory. The problem occurs on a clean profile and my well-worn one.

try again, the links should be working. I added an alternative link to it.

try cutting and pasting the link url into a separate tab or something.

24th build versus 25th build - Lower right corner.

I see what you mean, but I have no idea what it's for. Must be reserved space for a "Coming Attraction".
