RSS feed of the daily official Firefox build thread
Would it be possible to somehow create a RSS feed of the daily Firefox builds created by Peter. I have no experiance in creating websites and RSS feeds so I can't create a feed myself. I use RSS to read news so I would be very happy also to have a feed to the daily updates. For me it would mean easier access to the threads.

Although currently Jesse is posting sporadically because of school work. Usually he's posting everyday.

If you just want Peter's builds, ask him to make an RSS feed on his server that points to his posts.

I guess some HOWTOs would be in order... RSS feeds are really cool - if you could make one it would be cool.
Anyway, RSS (RDF Site Summary, or "Really Simple Syndication" as Adver. likes to call it) is just a XML doc.

You would probably need some webspace to put it in. You should ask Patrick Ryan (AKA pryan), he will probably give you some.

Take a quick look at http://www.freewebs.com/mooquackwooftweetmeow/rss.xml
Assuming you have basic XML knowledge (from SVG) figuring RSS 2.0 out shouldn't be too much trouble - it took me about half an hour and I haven't tinkered with SVG .
Refer to the docs URL given at the top of that file to help clarify any issues; when you think you've got the hang of it, run your creation past www.feedvalidator.org. And that's it.

http://www.freewebs.com/mooquackwooftweetmeow/rss.xml is supposed to be XML code - that's what RSS looks like
To make your own RSS feed, you could just change the text strings in that file using a plain text editor.
The human-presentable form of RSS is generated by an RSS reader (such as the RSS Reader Panel extension for Firefox).

But what's the advantage over a html page, or even a simple txt file ?
aha, the sidepanel thing.

Well a RSS feed can look different depending on what software you use to read the feed . I use the RSS Reader Panel to read my feeds.
Here is a screenshot of the extension: http://upit.dk/files/rss_feed.png
EDIT I have added another screenshot http://upit.dk/files/rss_feed2.png so you can see how it looks when I click on one of my feeds.
I can with one click get open the The Burning Edge Site. If there is a new build that Jesse has listed on his site I can see it in my RSS reader. This means that I quite easy can see when there is something new on the Burning Edge site or on the other feeds I have.
