You forgot your SeaMonkey users (err, user ;-)), viewtopic.php?p=4222235#p4222235.

(Manually making the change works fine.)

PS: I've gathered a list of Porn sites where FlashGot Media is failing (& emailed it to you - done).

Changelog states Locale. I see .jar is updated, could be only that the comma is missing in install.js.

Let me try...

Yep. Thats the only change need, append the comma, install.js, line 23:
Code: Select all
#23 /  "mn-MN","vi-VN","gl-ES"/
#23 /  "mn-MN","vi-VN","gl-ES",/

(Tue Aug 26) Silently updated. Installs fine now, thanks :-).

Flashgot was upgraded few hours ago and since then, when I right click on a link the "Flahgot link" option is grey. I used ctrl+f1 and it worked.
When I select multiple files, "Flashgot selection" is grey. I used the ctrl+f2 on the selection and that worked, but the context menu is still not available.

@hsbsitez:
can you see any error message in Tools|Error Console?

@therube:
FlashGot 1.1.0.1 improves on xvideos.com (and hopefully elsewhere too).

[EDIT]
corrected link above noscript -> flashgot, thanks therube.

@hsbsitez:
could you retry after setting the javascript.options.showInConsole about:config preference to true?
Also, does FlashGot Options|Advanced|Show Log display anything interesting?
Reinstalling may help, too.
If not, could you try Standard Diagnostic?

@therube:
link fixed, thanks.

It gives an error:

the javascript code:
Code: Select all
 _mediaUI: null,
  updateMediaCount: function() {
    if (!this._mediaUI) {
      this._mediaUI = [document.getElementById("flashgot-menuitem-media"), document.getElementById("flashgot-main-menuitem-media")];
    }
    var mm = this.media;
    var count = mm ? " (" + mm.length + ")" : "";
    for each(var ui in this._mediaUI) {
      if (ui) {
        ui.label = ui.label.replace(/\s*\(\d+\)$/, '') + count; // THE ERROR LINE
        if (count) ui.hidden = ui.disabled = false;
      }
    }
  }

@hsbsitez:
Looks like Firefox still sees the only XUL (user interface) but executes the new scripts.
Can you see a (disabled) "FlashGot Media" menu item in the Tools|FlashGot menu?
If you don't, could you locate your
%APP_DATA%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{Your Profile Name}.Default User
folder and delete the XUL.mfl file?

Again, reinstalling and/or using Standard Diagnostic may help.

I can check and uncheck the option.

I did a search for "XUL.mfl" and did not find the file.

I use vista, and the url to my profile is:
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*profileid*.default
This is the folder with a folder called extensions which has the flashgot files.

I ended up re-installing it and it seems to work fine now. =D>

I'm trying to use the new FlashGot Media feature as well, but having problems capturing a YouTube video. I'm using Star Downloader as my download manager.

When I go to view, for example, this YouTube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_VTOAf7ZZM

While the video is playing, I select Tools > FlashGot > FlashGot Media.

Star Downloader opens up, but I get an error message saying "Error: File not found."

And the URL field for the Star Downloader Save As dialog contains this:
Code: Select all
http://v3.cache.googlevideo.com/get_video?video_id=y_VTOAf7ZZM&origin=chi-v222.chi.youtube.com&signature=D88311E3A98F3F5D53B3F9A8C9473295B89AE565.025DA235A83967A31129C5A7BFCB74309420FD79&ip=72.85.148.38&ipbits=8&expire=1219813849&key=yt1&sver=2

@rongee:
Start Downloader does not support cookies and referer, which I suspect are required.
Could you try with Orbit Downloader or FDM?

Free Download Manager worked.

Seems to work much better and with more features than Star Downloader, so thank you for recommending it!

Here is a litter problem of FlashGot. It may be a trivial bug.

i accidentally installed two different versions of flashget on my laptop. So FlashGot creates another download manager called "flashget 2". But I can not find a way to get rid of it. So far I have tried: 1) reinstall FlashGot; 2)reinstall flashget; 3)reinstall firefox completely. None of them works!

The real problem is, when flashget 2 is picked up to download files, the flashget actually can not be launched. An error message from flahsget, saying there is a problem to run the program, shows up every time.

Right now I manually create a download manager called "Flash Get" to link flashget. It works. But "flashget 2" is still there. I am wondering if there is way to completely solve the problem.

Having this issue with 1.1 and 1.1.01

I've set it to only allow flashgot link and flashgot media to appear in the context menu. I have as well set it to not appear if disabled. Unfortunately both flashgot link and flashgot media both appear always on every page without fail.

I hope this can be fixed easily.

tks
