A testing candidate of Mozilla Firefox 0.9 is now available from mozilla.org. There are a couple more bugs we'd like to fix for the 0.9 release but want to get as much feedback on the app in general before we go out. Please download this build and test with it and report any show stopping bugs that you find. We are still looking to do a 0.9 final sometime Monday."
Builds can be found on the HERE and at PRYAN's site (faster).

Windows has a new theme as of today.
I would appreciate if you would NOT discuss what you hate/like about them in this thread.
If you don't like the new ones, replace it with another theme (as soon as that option properly works).

I downloaded the latest zip after the BEAST restart and it's either not 0.9rc1 or Ben forgot to rebrand it

Yeah, you are right :)
The 0.9rc installer is there. Will there also be a .zip version like the 0.8?

Looks like that the 0.9rc in the releases directory should be it. But I am waiting for a .zip build. Others who install it please do share your experiences.

Peter(6), don't know if you missed it earlier:

When looking at bugs blocking 0.9, you need to ignore the ones that are marked 'fixed-aviary1.0'. They will remain open until fixed on the trunk. Here are the modified queries

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040608 Firefox/0.8.0+

It will be rebranded for 0.9 final it seems, given the only open blocker bug.
If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245810 is now fixed (confirmed with the RC Installer), can you move it to Green please Peter?

Also is the theming meant to change when Apply is clicked or on a restart? Changing between the default and Qute Retro doesn't work when clicking Apply, you have to restart the browser for it to actually apply.

UI to set default language in RC :) and Extensions/Themes managers don't show error messages when checking updates and closes update window (weird now it shows errors again). Download finished notification icon is back, but still no background image in download manager :(

I probably did, with 100+ post per day it's a tough job to stay on track.
Thanks.
If you have other query mod, please PM me, at least I won't miss my mails ;-)

Hi Peter,
you can remove bug #245810, #245432, #245553 from the branch bug list. They are all fixed.

I think I've found another issue... I searched Bugzilla to no avail, again, but this is a simpler issue.

To reproduce, open at least two tabs. Next to the tabs, where a third or fourth tab might appear, right click twice. Try to do it about as fast as you would to double click the left mouse button. You can also do this with the middle button. (scroll wheel in most cases.)

Currently, this opens a new tab. I would assume that this is not intentional, because double right clicking is usually accidental, and double middle clicking usually means you're trying to close a bunch of tabs not open new ones.

If this is the case, the expected result would be for it to ignore the double click and not handle it as a new tab request. Luckily, making this happen is as simple as adding " && event.button == 0" to a single line in tabbrowser.xml.

Can anyone think of a bug for this, or might this be a new issue? If it's new, I can open a bug on it and attach my diff.

Thanks,
-[Unknown]

When I try to save something and want to create new folder with new folder button (on WinXP) it does nothing and I have to use right click context menu (this bug seems to be very old). And several builds back I noticed that when download manager finishes download it hangs for few secs. Are those bugs posted in bugzilla or does anyone else experiencing these bugs too?
One annoying thing is when open lots of tabs (40-50 or something), most of them are not visible and there are no arrows to scroll through tabs (like in Konqueror). I think not all people use scroll wheel or Ctrl+Tab and don’t know how to open those 'hidden' tabs...

Are you sure you aren't clicking on "new tab: when the context menu comes up? When you right click next to tabs it opens a contect menu and new tab is at the top, so if you click twice its's pretty easy to clcik that.

1). The new folder button doesn't work for me either.
2). I've been noticing the nice long hang when the download manager finishes, before it closes the window, for awhile now.
3). When I open up enough tabs to cause them to stop being visible, arrows appear on the right side of the tab bar that allow me to scroll through them.
