Firefox 0.9.2 Coming?

Post by chengkhoon »

I noticed that the a couple of new branches are created:

FIREFOX_0_9_2_MINIBRANCH
THUNDERBIRD_0_7_2_MINIBRANCH
MOZILLA_1_7_1_MINIBRANCH

Does this implies that a minor version is coming?

If so, what can we expect from these releases?

aebrahim would know why these branches were created. I wonder why they're called "minibranches".

Yep, looks like a security release. The EM has a warning on "malicious software"

The security fix (which is what has happened so far on the branch, and I guess may be the only change) is a config (i.e. pref) change. That shouldn't make any difference to the build size. I imagine that the increased size is just because the build machine hasn't been set up properly yet.

My guess is that it the exe was not compressed with the correct parameters.

If clicking on this link launches notepad:
shell:windows/test.txt

you need to upgrade to 0.9.2 or apply the xpi patch.
If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.
