The Official Win32 20040715 [Br/Tr] builds are out.

Post by Peter(6) »

The Official Win32 ..... builds are out , Firefox RSS feed.

The Official Win32 2004-07-15 [Aviary Branch] build is out.
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-07-15-10-trunk/The Official Win32 2004-07-15 [Trunk] is not expected.

The previous Official Win32 build was 2004-07-14 BRANCH || 2004-07-11 TRUNK

The latest nightly general directories: Official Branch || Official Trunk] || Unofficial Branch/Trunk

Firefox 0.9.2 Releasenotes || Extensions || Themes

If you find problems/bugs:
 1. Post them in this thread
 2. Properly describe the problem
 3. Include the url where you have the problem (if this is the case)
 4. Include the "about mozilla firefox" information (under the help button)
 5. Installer build or .zip version?
 6. Did you completely erase the Firefox directory first?
 7. Does a new profile fix the problem?
 8. Include the list of extensions you have installed (preferably none to start with)
This makes it a lot easier for others to duplicate your problem.

The showstopper Bug 250488 should be in this build. I'm stucked in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040707 Firefox/0.9.0+ due to this.

Yeah, it seems like almost all the trunk bugfixes are the same as yesterday.

250488 is IN. YES! Just what I wanted to see. It's still early so there could still be a few more branch fixes.

It's somewhat frustrating to see that trunk is going far more fast than branch...almost 3/4 of the fixes are trunk ones...

Look at the past 3 days on branch, a lot more.
The trunk tree was closed so the fixes accumulated for several days, besides that the trunk fixes are since the last trunk release on 20040711.

Would it not be more useful and easy to read if you put only the changes of the branch builds?

I think I said it yesterday. My guess is that they are trying to get trunk caught up so it is closer to branch, that way when they test fixes on trunk to load over to the branch, it will more closely represent what might happen. Trunk has been neglected for a long time, and branch was getting a lot of work. Now those changes are getting applied where they should have been in the first place. I imagine that once this is done for a little longer, the trunk will be the proving ground for bug fixes which wind up on the branch, which is how we all understood it should be.

What exactly do the orange colored patches mean? Are these in the build, or something which is almost ready and might be in a future build?

What ever happened to the printing patch to show print when right clicking? Was that bug ever finally fixed?

Thanks.

Trunk and all OS fixes are on request, yes it would be easier to read (and for me to make the daily report).
