No delete button in beta 112.0b4

Post by joe935 »

Yes, I know there are 2 ways to delete an email header but it would be more convenient to have the delete button back as it was in earlier beta versions.

Right click the main toolbar. Choose customize. Find the delete button, drag it to the main toolbar shown in the customize view or right click it and choose Add to Main Toolbar.

Sorry, but there is no right click. Customize does not open. I am using the beta version of Thunderbird V 112.0b4.
The UI has been completely changed.

v112.0b3 on my system currently. In the Tools > Settings section there is an option to "Hide system window titlebar". If that is checked then right click in the the top bar of the display displays the "Customise" link. Unchecking the "Hide system window titlebar" option displays the titlebar then the "Customise" option is reached by clicking in the bar below the title bar. Does that help?

Ok, I now have the customize menu but there is no "delete" button that can be dragged from the list.

There is another problem in 112.0b4 , Trash bin does not show the counter of mail in the bin.

Still on 112.0b3 and I definitely have a delete button on my toolbar (like a small trashcan) which I can use the Customise button to remove. Can't remember whether it was on the toolbar by default or because I dragged it from the Customise screen.

So I guess you have to upgrade to 112.0b4 to see what I am writing here.
At least 2 things missing in 112.0b4.

I have to apologize but my Thunderbird is at 112.0b3. Don't know why I thought I was at 112.0b4.
But I still have the same problems.
I do have a delete button within an email body but no button to delete headers.

My Thunderbird is now at 112.0b7 and these 2 problems still exist. IE:
No delete icon to delete mail headers.
No count of emails in the trash bin.

As Mozillazine is an independent forum and not Mozilla and not Thunderbird, you may have more success reporting these items through Bugzilla rather than repeating your comments here.

I am not understanding what you mean by "Delete mail headers". What does this mean? You don't want to see all the mail information? Like who the mail is from, to, the subject, when it was sent?

he may mean " No Delete Mail Button " in Mail Header, i intend to think his Mail Profile is atuffed or its a Extension issue causing the problem

but im pretty sure in 112 alpha the Delete button didnt work at all, he's better off to uninstall 112 an install Beta 113
