For years I have been using both Thunderbird on my PC and Apple Mail on my iPad. On the last day or so, when I open Thunderbird it shows unread messages that were ready on the iPad and also contains Inbox messages that were deleted on the iPad. This pertains to my gmail account.
When I read an Inbox message on my PC, it shows read on my iPhone but not my iPad. When I deleted the message on the PC it deleted on the iPhone but not iPad.
So, it seems the iPad is not synching correctly with the PC and iPhone.
The iPad is an 8th gen running iPAD OS 16.3. It is due for an update.

Moving to MozillaZine Tech as this sound much more like an issue on the iPad side and not a bug in Thunderbird. It is, after all, apparently not having the problem with the iPhone.
