Hello,
My FF profile folder get huge!
So, while trying to locate the folder content that can be deleted-
I came across a folder named: "to-be-removed".
[ path: ... AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ <profile folder> \storage ]
1. What is the purpose of this folder?
2. Is it safe to delete all of it's content(to empty it)?
Thanks.

No idea, searched for the folder information but found nothing.
If you have anything in the folder it could be anything, if you feel safe open the folder and look.
Temporary files are usually in the cache.

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Re: A folder named: "to-be-removed"
All of my "to-be-removed" directories are empty.
I'd suspect that the contents therein are transitory, & would (might be) gone after a browser restart (though the directory might ? persist)?
I don't know, but I wouldn't think anything would be hurt by removing its' contents?
You could always rename it "to-be-removed.OLD" just in case, & if something farts (again, I'd think not likely), Quit FF, rename it back & fire FF back up.

Fire 750, bring back 250.

Re: A folder named: "to-be-removed"
The storage folder in the profile folder is used for local storage and extension's data (indexedDBl storage/default).
The "to-be-removed" folder is probably used temporarily to store data that needs to be removed on close down.
