V115.4.3 address book

When I updated from V38 to 74 last week, and them to v102, the address book was good with contact lists. map access etc but now at 115.4.3 while the contact e-mail is there, all actual street address have gone & when I insert an address. I can't find the map button.

Interesting also that I had set under General Settings in TB V102 not do auto updates without advising me first
Check for updates, but let me choose whether to install them

but it did it anyway & it still shows that
just noticed this had been ticked

Use a background service to install updates

whether this overrode the first instruction - who knows?

Found the answer when updating to V102
"Get Map" feature missing from address book for physical addresses

so far, no fix
looks like V102 has caused more problems.

I can't find the map button.

I don't recall Thunderbird ever having that as a built in function. Perhaps you had an extension installed that is not compatible with newer versions.

I certainly don't remember ever downloading an Add=on for that function - to my knowledge, it was part of TB back in the dark days & the Get Map & it took you to Google maps
But outside of that, my previous address book had street addresses & phone numbers - now gone to where ?

I tested the addon.

Get Map for Thunderbird (works with TB 102 and TB 115)

The addon works for me.

Try searching for "Get Map for Thunderbird" in the "Find more add-ons" textbox in the "Add-ons Manager" tab.

Then click the "Add to Thunderbird" button to install the addon.
