thunderbird 102.11.0 questions

I started a new thread about this thunderbird because my original one was getting pretty long.

1. There is a five icon(button?) column that has thread, star, attach... Is there a way to delete the thread, star, and junk subcolumns? I have taken out the thread and junk features and will never use the star one.

2. I have people who send me emails with a lot of photos attached. I have always wanted a way to click on one and get something with arrows on each side of the photos so I could easily walk through them. I messed around with this thunderbird and found a way to ask for all 15 in the latest email, but instead of what I wanted, it spawned off all 15 photos into separate viewers, (and an ugly viewer that looks suspiciously but unclearly like it is storing these private photos on the web.)

Is there some way to get the email photo handling I want (stepping through photos, keeping them only on my laptop)? I would be happy to pay for some outside thing to install in thunderbird. The Windows builtin one that I encountered has all sorts of stuff I don't want like video editing, it decides itself to set up albums.

The font size in Settings seems to only affect the font in message bodies. Is there a way to increase the font in the next level up - folder names, lines displayed in a folder, etc.?

You should be able to hide the "Starred" column and apply the column layout to other folders.

Thank you. I discovered that I could save to disk all the photos in an email, so that is helpful.
