Does anyone know if SEAMONKEY will work with the latest Mac VENTURA 13.1 update as I don't want to install it and go through the disaster I went through when I first tried to install VENTURA initially?

Thanks

Any idea when the non-beta version of SM 2.53.15 for the Mac will be released?

i think there's an issue with the Windows Signing key thats stopping 25315 from being released. read this viewtopic.php?p=14946719#p14946719

Thanks for passing that along, but if I'm reading it correctly that pertains to Windows. What about the Mac version of SM 2.53.15?

The same time that the Windows (& all other) version is released.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

SeaMonkey 2.53.15 Final will be released next.

Our Windows code certificate expired and getting a new certificate ran into issues.
We are expecting the do the release as soon as we get the new cert which should be early in January.
The beta is stable and can be used till the release is done.
Even the delay is with Windows we will provide the release on all platforms at the same time as usual.

I've been using SM for my webpages for several years. My iMac is almost brand new. My previous (over 12 years old) iMac had crashed and I transferred all my files on my Time Machine external hard drive, including SM. It was working just as it had on the old computer. I'm in the middle of updating my own website, which is all I use SM for. This week, just over a month after I got the new computer, I got an upgrade from OS 12 Monterey to OS 13.1 Ventura. When I opened the old SM version on Ventura I got the menu bars but the windows were completely transparent and useless.

I then downloaded SM 2.53.14 from
https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

I tried to open it and got this popup:
"Sea Monkey" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware.

I actually downloaded a different free web page composer app from another software company I won't name that was touted as being very user-friendly with WYSIWYG features. When I opened it, I felt like I'd been dropped into a foreign country where nobody spoke English or any other language I understood! I haven't trashed that app yet but I'd much rather have SM if I can get a version that works. How do I get it to open?

Thanks. That solved a problem over which I've been tearing my hair out for four days!

The 2.53.15 release was done last week and just needs to be uploaded by ewong. I expect it to appear soon. The beta is stable and can be used till then.
