[BUG] Remove Firefox "Close Firefox" app, even when the browser is not open!

Post by vinnyg0621 »

when I close the Firefox browser and after I open it again right after I close it, this stupid "Firefox is already running but is not responding" app comes up, even when it is not open, and this doesn't apply to any other web browser. please remove this feature it is really annoying!

Moving to Firefox Support as no bug has yet been identified here.

What makes you think that Firefox is NOT still running when you see that message? Have you checked Windows Task Manager to see if Firefox is still listed as an active process?

Hi vinnyg0621...

You said > "...when I close the Firefox browser and after I open it again right after I close it,..."

I think that you'll find that when you close Firefox & then re-open it, you are not giving Firefox enough time to update it's self & close all it's files.....Like the LOCK FILE.

Hence that Warning.

Close Firefox then wait for 20 or 40 seconds & try opening it again.

Just a suggestion here...from my experience with Firefox.

Please refer to "ditto's" ^ link.

(Always choose the "Custom" Install.)

the parent.lock file for being is not that important as its time stamp. sounds curious but it is.

You can use the "Restart normally" button on the about:profiles page to close and restart Firefox.
