Possibly a dumb question, but Bill's site didn't seem to mention this detail, and as I am about to get a Mac Mini (M4) alongside my Windows box, I thought I would see about running good ol' SeaMonkey there too... and yes, I noticed that there may be some security-based annoyances.
Oh, and I am looking for the coarse-detail answer - Intel vs Arm (or Apple silicon).
Thanks!
What architecture are the Mac builds based on?

Intel. They work on the M1 which I use. With macOS 15.1 you need to self sign. Not sure if it is fixed in the 15.2 beta. Have not upgrade to 15 yet.
Mosly build patches to enable arm building are in but only most. No time for more currently. Maybe some day...
Personally I am becoming less and less of an Apple fan but I think i already stated this a few times Once I thought if I should switch my parents to macOS but after 10.15 any thoughts of this vanished.

Thanks, f-r, I appreciate you taking the time to answer this ... yes, I suppose I will get to see for myself how good "Rosetta" is at emulating x86 on [the latest] Apple M4 silicon.
As there were ~200 "reads" of this question by the time I saw your reply, it seems some folks are interested in the subject - so I will report back on my experience after I have my new box and have tried to run SeaMonkey, likely about 3 weeks from now.
