Thunderbird Calendar Issues

All,

I recently had the occasion to schedule a personal bi-weekly event with a group of people. More than likely, we will add more people over time.

I scheduled the event for an every 2 week event starting on Sunday, December 1, 2024, indefinitely.

After I sent out the last invitation/reminder after adding a new individual, it posted on everyone's calendar daily for a year, including mine, instead of bi-weekly.

I've been using Thunderbird's calendar since its launch, used it years on end for business (before we switched to Office) and never had an issue, it was bulletproof.

Now, there seems to be ongoing issues after every event I schedule in some form or another...

I'm not sure how to fix this - I've tried deleting and rescheduling this bi-weekly meeting multiple times, it still sends out an invitation/reminder that posts daily.

I'm not sure where to begin.

Are you using the current version? i.e. Thunderbird 128.5.0

What calendar addons are you using? Maybe the issue is caused by an addon.

I didn't find a similar bug on Bugzilla.

I searched for bugs in the E-mail based Scheduling and General and Untriaged lists.

I am running the current version, 128.5, and have no add-ons except Export/Import NG.

As I mentioned above, never had a single issue with the calendar all these years.
